This course introduces participants to designing wood framed tall walls. Topics include wall and wall component deflection criteria, tall wall bracing and designing for wind loads. Participants also review the types of software available for tall wall design.

Upon completion of this course, you will understand:
• Summarize the differences between engineered and prescriptive tall wall design.
• Demonstrate an understanding of wind load design and industry terminology.
• Identify the components and cladding deflection criteria for tall walls.
• Explain tall wall design properties and how to analyze them using design software.
